We're dedicated to providing our customers with practical help in every aspect of managing their money. And not just by offering great products, but by offering exceptional advice and customer service too.
The Group comprises four main businesses; all very different, but all working together to help us grow and succeed. We’ve explained more about these further down the page.
We also have a central support team, which includes our IT, Compliance, Marketing, Customer Relations, Facilities, and HR and Development teams.
Here's a bit about the different businesses within the Group:
Launched in 2002, our Managed Current Account offers a smart alternative to a traditional bank account. It puts our customers in control of their finances. They can make sure that all of their bills are paid on time, and know exactly how much money they have left to spend, helping them budget better. The account also helps people rebuild their credit score and gives access to credit.
In 2012 the Managed Current Account was granted a Fairbanking Mark – recognising it as a product that actively helps people manage their money better.
We launched the thinkmoney Credit Card in 2016, which gives our customers access to up to £1,500 credit. We offer a range of insurance produces too.
In 2012 the Group purchased the Ocean Finance. We use the brand as the consumer face of our mortgage and secured loans broking business (Intelligent Lending Limited). We also offer our customers unsecured loans and the Ocean credit card.
think insure is the one-stop-shop for insurance. Whether it's for their home, car, possessions or lives, our customers can get a competitive deal and a helpful, hassle-free service. think insure is an insurance broker and was launched in 2008.
Debt advice was the foundation of the Group back in 1993. We offer people across the UK who find themselves with a debt problem both advice and a range of debt solutions.
Whilst our consumer brand is now Debt Advisory Centre, the original businesses still sit behind that. Gregory Pennington was the first in the Group and is still our FCA regulated entity for debt advice. It also provides debt management plans and, in Scotland, debt arrangement schemes.
Freeman Jones, which is an insolvency practitioner, was launched ten years later. It provides clients in England and Wales with individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs). Our Scottish insolvency practice is Wilson Andrews and it provides trust deeds and sequestration to our Scottish clients.
In 2012 we launched think2claim, a Ministry of Justice regulated claims firm. think2claim's main role is to support our debt solution clients through the Payment Protection Insurance claim process. We also now provide the same service to other clients too.
